Microsoft App-V

Microsoft App-V (Microsoft Application Virtualization) is provided as part of the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP). App-V allows seamless streaming of applications, making redundant installation on the terminal device.

The advantages are obvious:

No compatibility problems with other applications

Operating system independence

Central distribution, adjustment, updates

Increased security through sandboxing

For optimal user-friendliness, various applications, provided by App-V, can interact with each other as needed.

Since Windows 10, the App-V client has been part of the operating system and does not require any additional installation. For other Windows versions (7, 8, 8.1), corresponding clients exist.
