Microsoft Teams brings together chatting, calling, and video conferencing for effective Teamwork

Content and chat histories from team chats or private chats are always available and can be viewed by everyone. Meetings for smaller groups or the whole team can be easily scheduled.

The OneNote notebook collects relevant information. OneNote offers very good search capabilities for reviewing all notes. Even pictures can be extracted using the integrated OCR functionality.

Team members can add a SharePoint document library, which allows them to manage documents. New documents may be created, or existing ones be viewed and edited. Microsoft Teams accesses the full functionality of a document library.

Key findings or information are recorded in a Team Wiki and may be viewed by every member of the team.

Microsoft Teams offers the opportunity to keep a calendar together with all team members. Relevant appointments can be entered and viewed by each team member.

For each team a separate mailbox is created. Each team can decide whether an email is forwarded to the personal mailbox of a team member or else it can only be viewed in the corresponding team mailbox.

For Teams, Microsoft provides an own app running on Android and iOS.

The entire Teams workspace and all tools described above can be personalised for each team. Additionally, the workspace can be individually extended to include important services, data, and applications such as Wrike, Hootsuite, smartshee, Sapho, or similar.
