Working hours

Our weekly working time is 42.5 hours with a 100% workload. This includes a half-hour paid break every day. This results in a net working time of 40 hours per week. With a few exceptions, you can organize your working hours flexibly and occasionally work from home. Do you only want to work four days a week? No problem!

Vacations and public vacations

With us, you have 5 vacation weeks a year, which you can divide up as you wish. In the team, it's first come, first served. After two completed calendar years, you are entitled to a total of 26 vacation days. Your vacation entitlement then increases by one day each year, up to a maximum of five additional vacation days per year. This means that after your sixth year of employment, you will have an impressive 30 vacation days. You will also receive up to 14 paid public holidays per year. Have you ever had time off on St. Leodegar, for example? 😉

Training and further education

"Learn every day" is a central component of our mission. That is why it is so important to us. You can use up to five hours a week for your personal training. Alternatively, you can also book the time in blocks to attend a training course. Of course, we also support your training financially. For manufacturer certificates, you will receive up to CHF 1,000 per certificate. For other work-related training courses, we will contribute up to CHF 5,000 per year.

For twelve days a year, we improve the quality and knowledge of our employees at our partners' various locations. Our goal? To catapult you into the fast lane and take you on a fast-paced journey with our customers.

Charity Work

We support your charity work with additional vacation days. If you lead a Youth+Sport program (including a leadership course), we will cover half of the time spent. We grant a maximum of 5 additional vacation days per calendar year. For all other individual services to the community, we also cover half of the time you spend, up to a maximum of 2.5 additional vacation days per calendar year.

Snacks and drinks

Even if we are in the office less often due to working from home and the like, we want our employees to feel comfortable on site. That's why we offer coffee, tea, fruit, biscuits and nuts free of charge. So we can really enjoy our breaks in the cool Skylounge. In summer, of course, the ice cream from our ice cream box is a must.

WLB Program

We think it's important to spend time together and do something different. That's why we regularly celebrate togetherness at our work-life balance events. We organize events in which our employees can participate voluntarily and free of charge. We also support participation in sporting events such as the Lucerne City Run and the SwissCityMarathon. We are also actively involved in the "bike to work" campaign.

Brown Bag Lunch

Employees organize Brown Bags on their own initiative. Colleagues share their knowledge on a specific topic. As the name suggests, the meeting takes place over lunchtime. Participants bring their lunch to the meeting. They can claim the cost of lunch via expenses (amount according to current regulations). As participation is voluntary, they must book the time required as free time. However, if attendance is mandatory or prescribed, this time can be booked as working time.

Candlestick lunch

Do you know a great recipe that is easy to prepare for a large group? Then volunteer to cook for the Leuchter lunch table. Ask your teammates if you can organize something together. The lunch table benefits from the voluntary work of the cooks. The participants cover the expenses via a cash box. The time invested is up to you or your cooking team.

Employee sponsorship

Leuchter supports your commitment to associations or charitable organizations. Apply for sponsorship and your club or organization will receive CHF 500 per year. Here you will find an overview of our current sponsoring:

Participation 3rd pillar

It's worth it to be a long-term luminary. It's important to us that you also think about your retirement provision. 😊
After your fifth year of employment, we start contributing to your 3rd pillar. Initially, we will match 20% of your contribution and gradually increase this to 50% after ten years of employment.

Double Digit Club

As soon as you have been with Leuchter for 10 years, you join the Double Digit Club. The DD Club organizes an event with the club members every year. On odd-numbered years it is a Friday event and on even-numbered years it is a two-day event on Friday and Saturday, including an overnight stay. Friday is always a paid working day and the events are organized on a rotating basis by the members of the DD Club. The costs for the event are of course covered by Leuchter.
